ROBERTO R. CÉSPEDES was born in Santander (1987) and lives in Madrid.
Novelist, screenwriter, film director, assistant director, producer and CEO at ENCARNA MOOOVIES with his brother and partner Iván. Graduated in Film Directing from the KINEMA film school in Bilbao and with a Master's Degree in Scriptwriting for Film and TV from the TAI school in Madrid.
He has worked on more than 30 projects in the direction and production department, mainly as assistant director. Roberto has written and directed 20 short films and one high budget film: STOYAN (2022), a horror thriller starring Tristán Ulloa and Marta Milans.
Currently available on AMAZON PRIME (Spain/Intl) and FlixOlé.
Winner of 138 International Awards, 72 Official Selections and 9 Mentions (43 of the awards for Best Film and 19 for Best Direction). Official Selection in the National Feature Film Competition "ÓPERA PRIMA" at FICAL. World Premiere in the Official Section (Wild Nights) of the 44th MIFF (Class A Festival).

Film that was in the Official Selection of the 5th Pitchbox 2018 and with Special Mention at Sitges Pitchbox 2017.
His short film BROKEN BASKET (2016), starring Belén Rueda, was selected in more than 40 festivals within the Oscars Pre-Selection circuit, such as the Short Film Corner (Cannes), Honorable Mention of the Jury for Belén Rueda at the Queens World Film Festival (New York), among others. The film STOYAN is based on this short film.
Roberto wrote and directed SIEMPRE FUI ALEX with Sancho Ortiz de Lejarazu, a documentary short film about transsexuality in childhood. With more than 40 selections in national and international festivals and awarded to the best short film in CORTOS POR LA IGUALDAD (VALENCIA).
Roberto has published three novels. The last one MARMA RABBIT BOY (2020), published by Editorial Amarante.
The first entitled LOS JIMÉNEZ SUEÑAN COMO QUIEREN (2017) and the second MERO FIRMAMENTO (2018), both published by Ediciones Camelot.

MARMA RABBIT BOY has been selected in VENTANA MADRID 2024, was selected in the prestigious TORINO FILM LAB EXTENDED 2022 (TFL), which was held in Matadero, Madrid. It obtained a double Official Selection at the IBERSERIES & PLATINO INDUSTRIA 2022 Pitch Sessions (Secuoya Studios and Dopamine). It was doubly awarded in the II TALLER DE IMPULSO (Government of Cantabria, November 2021), being invited to the European Film Market in Berlin (2023) and to the MAFIZ of the Malaga Film Festival (2022). Received development grants from the Provincial Council of Alava and development grants from the Basque Government (2022). With production grants from the Government of Cantabria (2023). Project with Official Selection in the NETWORKING CANTABRIA//EUSKADI Conferences within the framework of the 64th Edition of ZINEBI (2022). Official Selection in the 16th PITCHING "I&P IDEAS PARA PRODUCIR" of the Clúster Audiovisual Galego (2022).
Roberto has written 20 feature films, miniseries and series in development.
Roberto is still writing more projects, among them his miniseries MERO FIRMAMENTO. Selected in the Pitch Sessions of IBERSERIES PLATINO &INDUSTRIA 2022 (ÁNIMA).
His latest feature film project is ANANDA, a Neo-Western. Selected in the II TROBADA DE TALENT of the Festival GALACTICAT of Tàrrega (2023) and also selected in the First Edition of EL LAB DEL NORTE (2022), being the project supervised by screenwriter and film director Santiago Fillol (co-screenwriter of O que arde and Mimosas). Feature film project in coproduction with BIXAGU ENTERTAINMENT (Iñaki Gómez).
Roberto's goal is to make ANANDA his third film after MARMA RABBIT BOY.
IVÁN R. CÉSPEDES was born in Santander (1988) and lives in Madrid.
Scriptwriter, assistant director, playwright and CEO at ENCARNA MOOOVIES.
Graduated in Playwriting at RESAD, he has written, produced and directed 11 plays. His final work for his writing internship was the script of the miniseries MARISA: SOCIÓPATA Y ARTISTA, with which he obtained an Honors Degree.
As a Final Project of the degree, he wrote and staged the original text MOLOCH, a dramatic horror play that will begin to put in motion in 2023.
In the field of cinema, he was assistant director of the film STOYAN for seven weeks in Bulgaria.
He also participated as second assistant director of the series SERVIR Y PROTEGER during the summer of 2022 with the production company PLANO A PLANO.
He currently works as a theater teacher at the Escuela Municipal de Arte Dramático de Madrid and with the company PRODUCCIONES YLLANA at its theater school in Las Rozas.
Iván was with his brother Roberto in the intensive assessment of the TORINO FILM LAB EXTENDED 2022), also in the second IMPULSO Workshop (2021) of the Government of Cantabria, where they were double winners.
